Hours for the pool will remain the same at this time.

UPDATED: November 16, 2020

Per the order of Washington State Governor, Jay Inslee, the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center will be closed beginning Tuesday, November 17th and extending through Monday, December 14th, to reduce the risk of infection or increased spread of COVID-19. We are still available by phone, email or through one of our many social media outlets.

We are closely monitoring this ongoing situation and will continue updating our website and social media outlets as new information comes forward. We apricate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.

UPDATED: June 30, 2020

Asotin County Family Aquatic Center, Waterpark Season canceled

Due to COVID – 19 mandates and restrictions, the Asotin County Public Facilities District has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 outdoor waterpark season.  We are following the recommendations of all State, federal, and local entities to ensure that the Aquatic Center remains a place for health and recreation.

Those who have purchased a waterpark membership will receive a full refund.  Please contact the facility to process your refund.

The indoor pools and fitness center are open with limited capacity at this time.

UPDATED: June 11, 2020

Welcome to Phase 3 in Asotin County!

Pools and fitness facilities are officially able to open to the public, but what does this mean for the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center?

First off, we are still waiting for more information to be released, but with the information, we have to go on we know we will be able to open the indoor pools and fitness center as soon as we get a chance to catch our staff up on all the new procedure changes. The state of Washington has just put out some new information for pools that allow us to operate each fitness pool at 25% capacity, which means that we are able to open the lap pool with a capacity of 50 people, the wading pool with a capacity of 30 people and the hot tub with a capacity of 5 people. However, this new plan for pools does not include waterparks, so that portion of our facility will have to remain closed, it is our goal to open the waterpark this summer though, so we will continue collecting information to make sure we are as up-to-date as possible. The fitness center will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity with means that it can open with a capacity of 6 people max.

We are bringing in additional staff to clean and sanitize all hard surfaces throughout the day so we keep our facility clean and our staff and patrons healthy. We have hand sanitizer available as you walk in the doors and our staff will be wearing Washington State Safe Start approved face masks throughout the day.  We are also asking patrons to respect the 6-foot social distancing practices, and the governor’s office is recommending mask use when able.

We are currently planning on re-opening our doors Monday, June 15th with our regular hours.

Policy & Procedure Changes

Capacities: Lap Pool - 50 people, Wading Pool - 30 people, Hot Tub - 5 people, Fitness Center - 9 people.
For lap swimming, circle swimming is encouraged, but please exit the pool if a break is needed.

Equipment Use: All equipment needs to be sanitized after each use, some equipment will need to be checked out from the front desk, such as bands & Jump ropes in the fitness center and the basketball for the lap pool. When done with equipment place used equipment with other un-sanitized equipment.

Drinking Fountains: Drinking fountains are not permittable for use, all drinking fountains have been turned off and you must bring water from home or purchase a water bottle from one of our vending machines.

UPDATED: May 27, 2020

The Aquatic Center is currently closed due to the Covid-19 Quarantine. As a facility, we are looking closely at all the information provided to us to safely and efficiently open our doors again without putting the health of our wonderful patrons and our staff at risk.

March 24, 2020

To our valued customers:

Under the direction of Governor Jay Inslee, the facility will be closed, until further notice. As the situation changes we will continue to update you all. We hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times.

The following events have also been canceled:

March 20th – Family Theme Night

March 23rd-27th & March 30th-April 3rd - Spring Break Splash

April 4th - April Pools Day

April 10th – Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

In addition, any scheduled lifeguard courses will be postponed until they can be rescheduled.  Please contact Jessica West, Aquatics Manager, with any questions regarding programs, program refunds, or the rescheduling of lifeguard courses.

We will have a limited amount of office staff working remotely and reduced hours during this shutdown. We will also be operating under the business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during this timeframe.

We ask for your patience and understanding during this challenging time for all of us. We waited as long as possible to close the doors and now it is beyond our control. We know the negative impact this closure has on our staff, our patrons, and the community and we were hoping it wouldn’t come to this. However, we are also hopeful this will assist in being part of the solution to aid in stopping the spread. We look forward to seeing all of you when we reopen, happy, healthy and ready for warmer weather!

See you soon!

Amanda Armel
